On July 23, 2021, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the First National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC), Chinese Consul General in Penang Mr. Lu Shiwei published a signed article titled “China’s National Rejuvenation Has Become a Historical Inevitability” in Malaysian media Kwong Wah Yit Poh.
The article stated that After 100 years of struggle, the CPC has united and led the Chinese people to achieve great success in revolution, construction, and reform. The Chinese nation has achieved the tremendous transformation from standing up and growing prosperous to becoming strong. China’s economy and composite national strength have increased rapidly, laying down solid foundations necessary for realizing national rejuvenation. China is showing bright prospects for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
Not only has China solved its own poverty problem and achieved continuous and rapid economic and social development, it has also been committed to building a new type of international relations and a community with a shared future for mankind, provided more and more public goods to the world, and led the reform of the international system. As the substantial increase of China’s international status and the continuous strengthening of its power to shape external environment, China has won strategic initiative to realize national rejuvenation, and the unstoppable momentum and bright prospects for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation are presented to the world.
The socialism with Chinese characteristics is the right path that has been proven from the struggles over the past century, and is strongly endorsed and supported by the Chinese people. It has won high acclaims from the international community. The CPC and the Chinese people will will unswervingly follow the path of socialism with Chinese characteristics, which provides fundamental guarantee for realizing national rejuvenation, and will keep on striving with endless energy toward the bright prospects for the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
