Good morning! It is my pleasure to be invited to attend the ground-breaking ceremony of Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn. Bhd. On behalf of the Chinese Consulate General in Penang, I would like to express my sincere congratulations to the launch of the project!

China and Malaysia are traditional friendly neighbors. Under the guidance of the leaders of the two countries, the bilateral relations have maintained a sound momentum of development, and the two countries enjoy a high-level political mutual trust, close economic and trade exchanges and profound friendship between the two peoples. Not long ago, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim of Malaysia paid an official visit to China. During the visit, President Xi Jinping and Mr. Prime Minister achieved important common understandings on jointly building a China-Malaysia community with a shared future. The two sides will enhance Belt and Road cooperation, advance key projects, foster more growth drivers in cooperation in such areas as digital economy, green development and new energy, and explore cooperation on people’s well-being, so as to enable China-Malaysia relations to deliver more benefits to the two peoples.

Perak is abundant in natural resources, and the state government is actively creating a favorable business environment to attract investments. I am glad to see that Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn. Bhd. will invest more than 100 million Ringgit to launch the silica sand mining project in Perak, creating hundreds of local job opportunities and drive forward the overall development of the clean energy industry chain. Chinese automaker Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd plans to invest RM30 billion in the development and commercialization of the Automotive High-Tech Valley (AHTV) in Tanjung Malim. With more and more Chinese enterprises seeking investment and cooperation opportunities in Perak, the state is showing promising development prospects.

This year marks the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership, and next year marks the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries. With the continuous advancement of the Belt and Road cooperation, the cooperation between China and Malaysia in various fields will be further deepened. It is hoped that Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn. Bhd. will seize the opportunity to deliver results in Perak, set an example of cooperation, and make due contributions to the practical cooperation between China and Malaysia both at national and local levels. The Chinese Consulate General in Penang will, as always, support Chinese enterprises in the consular district to give full play to their own advantages and expand exchanges and cooperation with all walks of life in the consular district, so as to continuously promote cooperation between China and Malaysia both at national and local levels to achieve more results.

Last but not least, I sincerely wish Jinjing Silicon Technology Sdn. Bhd. a big success in Perak and Perak Sejahtera 2030 will make great achievements! I wish all guests and friends family happiness, good health, and all the best in your career! Thank you!
